650 Auto-Feeder Setup < 6" Wide
This document outlines the high level requirements for auto feeding a bag at less than 6” wide.
Physical Setup
When trying to auto feed a bag narrower than 6” wide (the distance between the auto feeder pinch rollers) we must configure the setup to use only the left pinch roller as shown below on this Merchandise 3 x 10 bag.
The vacuum should have no problem grabbing the small lightweight bags, but pinch timing may need to be adjusted due to the length of the bag as would be standard.
Testing Clearance
Because all setup jigs are in close proximity to each other we will want to test each components mobility individually. We can do this from the manual tab on the auto feeder.
Press “Manual” on the HMI
Enable “Manual” on the left side of the new screen
Use the individual component functions to ensure clearance on the pinch rollers and suction cups
Run Demonstration
Below is demonstration of the bag running in this setup with one suction cup and one pinch roller.
Print File Alterations
When using this left edge configuration the file must be sent to the printer from Navigator aligned to the left of the printer head.
Open the “Full Job Editor”
Select the “Full Printer Width” as the Media Size
Anchor our image to the top left corner
When the file is sent as shown above, instead of aligning to the center of the print head we will align to the left edge of the print head position indicator at number 13.
All print alignment adjustments left and right should be made from this left position vs from the center as usual.
