WCI Operator Epicor Quick Guide

QUALITY

  • Visual quality checks MUST be performed once per case and recorded in Epicor once every half hour

MATERIALS

  • ALWAYS make sure rolls are issued to the job as soon as you mount them on the roll stand

  • ALWAYS make sure if the last roll of paper is not used on your next job it is returned to warehouse in Epicor and labeled with a yellow “Return to Inventory” sticker

NOT PUNCHED INTO JOBS

  • Change Overs should ALWAYS be tracked through the “Indirect Activity” “Change over” activity on posted scan sheets, NEVER setup on a job

  • When you are NOT assigned to a machine or your machine is being worked on by others, miscellaneous tasks should be tracked under the “Indirect Activity” activity on posted scan sheets. Contact your supervisor for direction on what to do.

PUNCHED INTO A JOB

  • Setup should ONLY be used when work is being performed for a specific job to get it started. Example ink well filling, plate adjustments (registration).

  • When a machine IS physically running, and producing GOOD BAGS at least one employee MUST be punched into “Production Activity”

DOWNTIME TRACKING

  • When a machine IS NOT physically running, you should be either clocked out of “Production Activity” or have initiated a Downtime status.

  • Downtime should be used when a machine’s production is stopped but you are not logged out of the job. Example roll change, break, cleaning plates, jam up, etc.
