Finding Maintenance Request Entry

The Maintenance Request Entry screen is located in Service Management > Maintenance Management > General Operations > Request Entry

Explore the UI

Below we will describe what the primary fields that will be used mean

  1. Request ID - This is an automatically generated ID. It follows the format of Year, Month, Day, and a sequential number starting at 1 for requests on a given day padded to 4 places. Ex (2020-09-21-0001 but without the hyphens)
  2. Status - The current status of the request
    1. Pending - Has been entered but not assigned to a user or approved for a job.
    2. Approved - Has been assigned to a user or an associated job has been created (#6)
    3. Complete - Has been marked complete from the actions menu (no job) or the associated job has been closed
    4. Cancelled - Has been marked cancelled from the actions menu or the associated job has been deleted (this can be re-opened using resubmit)
    5. Rejected - Has been marked rejected from the actions menu
  3. Equipment ID - The equipment associated with the request. Could be a facility, part of a facility, machine, tow motor, stretch wrapper, etc
  4. Required Date - A target date to have the request completed by. This date will also be used as the Required Date on a job created from the request
  5. Request Priority - Standard priority of a request and its urgency
    1. Low
    2. Medium
    3. High
    4. Immediate - Marking a request immediate will also change an associated jobs priority to IMMED (Immediate)
  6. Maintenance Job - An associated job that can include time/materials, and operation instructions
  7. Assigned To - The employee that the request is assigned to. They will see this in their personal queue on the tablet Maintenance Mobile App
  8. Requested By - The employee that entered the request as well as the date and time it was entered
  9. Assigned By - The Epicor user (employees may not have an actual user) that assigned the request to an employee
  10. Equipment Details - Read only information associated with the selected Equipment ID (#3)
  11. Subject - A short description of the issue pertaining to the request
  12. Description - A long description of the issue pertaining to the request
  13. Topics - (At least one must be selected) This helps group requests for reporting purposes later.
