Problem
Maintenance is called to a machine due to web breaks
Solution
- Web out of alignment
- Paper roll break too loose
- Tighten paper roll break as needed until paper forms tight around the former
- Roll may be improperly mounted
- Paper roll placement
- shaft inflation
- Jam up or wrap happened
- By hand, slowly pull paper through machine until straight
- Paper roll break too loose
- Improper paper roll mounting
- Shaft inflation
- Make sure shaft is inflated and maintains inflation
- Roll placement on shaft
- Refer to setup sheet for correct placement on shaft
- Shaft inflation
- Webbing incorrect
- Check paper is webbed correctly on and around rollers
- Refer to webbing diagram
- Incorrect side plate placement
- Check side plate placement per setup sheet and adjust as needed
- Excessive forming roller angle
- Check forming roller placement and angles
