Problem

Maintenance is called to a machine due to web breaks

Solution


  1. Web out of alignment
    1. Paper roll break too loose
      1. Tighten paper roll break as needed until paper forms tight around the former
    2. Roll may be improperly mounted
      1. Paper roll placement
      2. shaft inflation
    3. Jam up or wrap happened
      1. By hand, slowly pull paper through machine until straight
  2. Improper paper roll mounting
    1. Shaft inflation
      1. Make sure shaft is inflated and maintains inflation
    2. Roll placement on shaft
      1. Refer to setup sheet for correct placement on shaft
  3. Webbing incorrect
    1. Check paper is webbed correctly on and around rollers
    2. Refer to webbing diagram
  4. Incorrect side plate placement
    1. Check side plate placement per setup sheet and adjust as needed
  5. Excessive forming roller angle
    1. Check forming roller placement and angles
