Cleaning Ink Decks 203

1. Follow the lockout procedure to lockout machine

2. Unlock the transfer (anilox/rubber roller) adjustment

3. Turn transfer (anilox/rubber roller) knobs clockwise

a. By turning the knobs clockwise is going to move your anilox/rubber roller away from the plate cylinder

4. With both hands lift up the cover form the print deck up and set to the side (If you can’t take the cover off follow steps two to make more room)

5. Place the ink pail under the ink deck valve Install small drain hose if needed

6. Open the valve up to drain the ink 7. turn the right-side adjustable ink well knob counterclockwise to lower ink well down on one side to drain the ink faster


8. Use the squeegee to drain out as much ink as possible

9. Close the valve up and cover the ink pail up

10. Attach the hose that leads to the drain to the ink well valve

11. Open the valve up to drain the ink

12. Separate flood rollers bye adjusting the two adjustment flood roller knobs located under ink decks on the left and right side

13. Apply flexo cleaner to the rubber rollers to breakdown ink

14. With the hose spray water in between the two rubber rollers

a. rotate rubber roller with your hand and continue to spray rubber rollers until fully cleaned



15. Turn the left side adjustable ink well nob clockwise to lower ink well down

16. Tilt ink well towards you to drain out the water

17. Close the valve up and remove the hose

18. Unlock ink well by turning the two wing nuts located under the print deck

19. Pulling ink well towards you tilting up and out

20. Take ink well and cover to the sink

a. Scrub off all ink and rinse until all ink has been removed







21. Take ink well and cover back to the machine and place on the ground.

22. Wipe off and dry any water residue left on the anilox/rubber rollers

23. put ink deck and cover back in place
