Catch Box Set Up

Catch Box Set Up

The Catch Box is used to catch and count the bags. A photo eye at the top of the assembly detects and counts each bag. When 25 are counted the catchbox fingers rotate 90 degrees, releasing the stack of bags onto the table and putting the fingers into position to catch the next set of bags

A canvas bag stop at the top of the catchbox is used to gently stop the bag and allow it to settle into the catchbox. The canvas may be tightened if needed by loosening the bolts, pulling the canvas until it is taut and retightening the bolts

Step 1 - Set the Side Guides. Move the Rear Side Guide so the bags will fall freely between the guides

Formula to determine setting - Bag Length + Closure Width + approximately 1 inch

ADJUSTORS NOTES:

Loosen the silver hex bolts to allow the swing arm to move freely. Then turn the adjustment bolt (located on outside of machine by the conveyer) to achieve the proper distance. Allow at least one inch of play. Make sure the fingers are vertical. If need be, rotate the shaft to get the fingers vertical

Use your hand and put pressure on the swing arm to tighten the belt. Then retighten both hex bolts
